Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater Shine Together at Wicked Movie Premiere

Ariana Grande and her boyfriend Ethan Slater shared a sweet, supportive moment at the Wicked movie premiere in Los Angeles on Saturday, Nov. 9. While posing for photos on the red carpet at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Ariana adjusted Ethan’s bow tie, smiling warmly as she straightened it.

The couple appeared alongside their Wicked co-stars, including Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Goldblum, and original Broadway stars Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel.

Ariana, 31, paid homage to her character Glinda with a custom Thom Browne pink-and-white gingham dress, paired with a bolero jacket, gloves, and an elegant updo. Ethan, 32, looked sharp in a velvet green suit, fitting for his role as Boq in the film.

Ethan recently expressed how proud he is of Ariana’s performance in the movie. In an interview with GQ, he praised her dedication, saying, “She’s poured herself into it,” and shared his excitement for audiences to finally see her work. He also reflected on the challenges of having a public relationship, acknowledging how personal life can be exposed to public scrutiny. “It’s really difficult having your private life commented on,” he said. “But I’m focused on the real people in my life, not the Twitter comments.”

Ariana and Ethan met during the filming of Wicked in 2022 and confirmed their relationship in July 2023. This came shortly after Ariana’s split from her ex-husband Dalton Gomez and Ethan’s separation from his ex-wife Lilly Jay, with whom he shares a 2-year-old son.

Directed by Jon M. Chu, Wicked stars Grande, Erivo, Slater, Goldblum, Jonathan Bailey, Bowen Yang, Peter Dinklage, and Michelle Yeoh. The first part of the film will be released in theaters on Nov. 22.
