The highly anticipated BL series Spare Me Your Mercy has added another layer of emotional depth with the release of its official OST, เพียงนิทาน (Pheiyng Nithan), performed by the renowned Thai singer Nont Tanont. The song debuted on November 29, following the release of the series’ first episode, on One31’s official YouTube channel.
Spare Me Your Mercy is an adaptation of Euthanasia, a celebrated novel by Sammon. The series stars JJ Krissanapoom and Tor Thanapob in the lead roles, portraying a gripping tale of mystery, morality, and human connection. JJ plays Thiu, a police officer who moves back to his hometown from Bangkok after his mother’s terminal breast cancer worsens. Tragically, Thiu’s mother passes away shortly after his return. However, her death marks the beginning of a chilling pattern.
Thiu notices an alarming number of terminal cancer patients passing away earlier than anticipated. All of these patients had been under the care of Dr. Ken, played by Tor Thanapob. Suspicion grows as Thiu begins to investigate whether Dr. Ken might be connected to the deaths.
The series is both a psychological drama and an exploration of moral dilemmas, with Thiu’s investigation testing the boundaries of ethics, empathy, and truth. The chemistry between JJ and Tor promises to captivate viewers, while Nont Tanont’s soulful performance of the OST adds a hauntingly beautiful accompaniment to the unfolding drama.
With a total of eight episodes, Spare Me Your Mercy airs every Friday on One31, OneD, and iQIYI. Fans of compelling storytelling, nuanced performances, and moving music will find much to admire in this poignant series.
