Miss Universe Thailand will be managed by MGI starting this year

MGI has officially become the franchise holder of Miss Universe Thailand, starting this year.

The organization, which owns Miss Grand International, has secured the Miss Universe Thailand license for the years 2025 to 2029. The acquisition cost 180 million Thai baht—equivalent to 36 million baht per year, or approximately $1 million annually.

Nawat Itsaragrisil, the owner of MGI, announced the news on Instagram, posting a photo in front of the Miss Universe logo with the caption: “Miss Universe x MGI Org.”

A document dated February 17 confirmed that MGI’s board of directors approved the investment in the Miss Universe Thailand organization. Following the acquisition, MGI’s stock surged by 30%.

Miss Universe Thailand was previously managed by TPN, under whose leadership Thailand achieved remarkable success. The country’s representatives, Anntonia Porsild and Opal Suchata, placed as first runner-up in Miss Universe 2023 and third runner-up in 2024, respectively.
